WHY USE THE ENVIRONMENTAL NETWORK/LEADLISTING.COM?
HUD subsidized the development of a nationwide service to provide information to the public about organizations and/or individuals who provide lead services - that was called the Lead Listing.

The Lead Listing fills a need to provide parents, landlords, and real estate professionals with an effective means of identifying trained lead service providers to help prevent childhood lead poisoning. The Lead Listing was developed to address the time-sensitive need for compliance with the requirements of Section 1018 of Title X (Residential Lead-Based Paint Hazard Reduction Act of 1992) on disclosure of lead hazards at the sale or lease of pre-1978 residential property.

Since the Lead Listing was established, the Environmental Network was established in order to address additional environmental issues that affect the public.
